Masterplanning |

We have worked in close partnership with Westgate School to progressively implement a masterplan for the improvement and expansion of the campus. A flexible approach to masterplanning is essential to a successful outcome and at Westgate we set in place a loose framework for development which has enabled the School to benefit from a number of funding initiatives and opportunities.
Our first task was to undertake a detailed stock condition survey and space suitability appraisal. A series of curriculum analyses tested possible future scenario's for change potential.
Following on from the initial masterplanning, in 2002, in partnership with the School and the Local Authority, we were successful again in obtaining funding for major expansion for the School. Out proposal to provide a suite of eight new classrooms, a new Sixth Form Centre, additional Science and Technology rooms, a new Learning Centre, reconstruction of the staff and administration areas and extension of the Dining and Assembly areas. |
