Derek Hampshire

Derek Hampshire, Managing Director of the aed practice, studied architecture at Bristol University and has 35 years in professional practice. Understanding that enabled clients to achieve their goal is foremost, he keeps an open-minded practical approach to architecture and buildings. Prior to establishing aed in 1998, Derek worked as project architect for a major London practice specialising in healthcare buildings. In 1983 he joined the University of Reading as an in-house design architect, and in 1989 returned to the private practice undertaking a broad range of private and public sector commissions. Derek is also a qualified project manager and CDM coordinator.
